1954 Royal Quiet Deluxe
Up for sale is an excellent Royal Quiet Deluxe which was manufactured in 1954. This typewriter is in near mint shape overall, and is completely functional. The crinkle paint finish is in great condition, with very few scratches or other imperfections. The tweed carrying case is also in impressive shape, and has also been cared for just as well as the typewriter itself. As I mentioned, this typewriter is in fully functional shape, and types very smoothly. This would be a great machine to use heavily and reliably, such as writing a novel. This machine types in a slightly smaller elite typeface (12 characters per inch) but it still prints crisply and clearly. The Quiet Deluxe was one of the most popular American typewriters in the '50s, and it remains to be a popular choice among writers and enthusiasts today. This model uses universal ribbons which are sold on this site. The owner's manual can be downloaded for free here: http://www.machinesoflovinggrace.com/manuals/RoyalPortables1953Manual.pdf
