1954 Olympia SM3
Up for sale is a beautiful Olympia SM3 in green which was made in Western Germany in 1954. This typewriter is in impressive condition, and is fully functional right down to the bell. Cosmetically, this typewriter very few flaws aside from some minor discoloration in the paint in certain locations under certain lighting. The chrome shines like new, and there is no rust anywhere. The case is also in great shape, although the rubber feet are worn- which is typical.
Mechanically, this typewriter shines above the rest. This machine is extremely smooth and reliable, as all Olympia machines are known to be. German engineering and craftsmanship really shines with Olympias, and this machine is no exception to that standard.
The typeface is a bit special, and is a little smaller than standard (elite- 12 characters per inch as opposed to the standard 10 per inch).
