1928 Corona Four
Up for sale is a stunning Corona Four which was manufactured in 1928 and painted in DuPont's DUCO "Mountain Ash Scarlet" color. More information on this machine's paint finish can be found on the following page: http://www.sljohnson.net/typewriter/corona/Corona-Duco.html
This is one of few typewriters that really looks better in person. While this typewriter may not be 100% perfect cosmetically, it's extremely difficult to find this machine in this good of shape overall. Most notably, the typewriter is missing the left-hand ribbon cover. This would easily be an $800+ machine if it weren't missing. It is also missing the front-left rubber foot, however it really doesn't impact anything too badly especially if you are writing on a soft surface (or a desk with a typewriter pad) and otherwise a new set of 4 feet can be purchased on eBay or Etsy. There are some areas of paint loss, and unfortunately the labels on the front body of the typewriter have largely rubbed off. Other than that, this typewriter is truly impressive. This typewriter is fully functional right down to the bell, however this is not a machine that you'd want to write heavily with. It is definitely equipped to write something like letters or notes, however I would not chose this machine to write a novel on. When it's not being used, it makes for a heck of a conversation and decoration piece. You will want to re-thread the original spools on this typewriter, which can be done with the universal ribbons sold on this site when the time comes to replace the fresh ribbon installed currently.

If you're looking for an absolutely stunning colorful '20s typewriter that's still functional and in great shape, then this is a beautiful choice. And if you can find a matching ribbon cover, you have yourself a great deal!
