1959 Remington Quiet-Riter Eleven
Up for sale is an attractive Remington Quiet-Riter Eleven (named for slightly-wider-than-normal 11 inch carriage) which was manufactured in America in 1959. This light tan or ivory color is not common, and really makes this machine a little more special. This typewriter is in amazing condition overall, and is fully functional right down to the bell. Cosmetically, this typewriter has only a few minor cosmetic imperfections (mostly limited to the rear of the machine) and no rust anywhere. The case has some cosmetic wear consistent with its age, but is still in great shape and has done a great job preserving this machine. This typewriter writes in 12-pitch font which is still clear and crisp, but a little smaller than the standard 10-pitch. Full size Remington portables such as this one are excellent machines to type on, and are reliable and smooth machines that should last for many years to come and this machine is no exception!

Universal ribbons which are sold on this site fit this machine perfectly once the core of the plastic spools is removed. The original metal spool caps will even still fit!
