1933 Underwood "F" Model
Up for sale is a beautiful Underwood Portable Model F which was manufactured in 1933. This typewriter is in miraculous condition, and the glossy black paint shines like a mirror. Mechanically, this typewriter is in perfectly functional shape. The platen and other feed rollers are in good shape and still feed paper perfectly. The front rubber feet are still in good shape, and the rear two have been replaced. The pretty original gold decals on this machine are just about pristine, and complement the shiny jet black paint very well, as do the glass keys. Universal ribbons will fit this typewriter, however they must be wound in the opposite direction as is the case with all Underwood typewriters.
This typewriter is still pretty easy to use and maintain, and despite its old age, this machine can still be used to handle smaller writing tasks as desired. I would not recommend this for heavy typing such as writing a novel or something else that involves strenuous typing, however it can tackle smaller tasks with ease. Keep in mind that this typewriter has the standard pica typeface, and fits 10 characters per inch.

If you're looking for a classic-looking portable from the depression-era that can still be used for occasional writing tasks, then this machine is a great choice.
