1926 Corona Four
Up for sale is a breathtaking Corona Four which was manufactured in the USA in 1926. This typewriter is in near mint shape both cosmetically and mechanically. For being only a few years away from being 100 years old, it's hard to believe that this typewriter was preserved and cared for so well. The glossy black paint shines like a mirror, as if it came out of the factory days ago. The golden labels are also flawless, and are not worn off whatsoever. There's not a hint of rust anywhere on this typewriter. Even the case is in great shape for its age. Although I would not recommend using this typewriter extremely heavily, this typewriter is indeed fully functional right down to the bell, and does type very well. The touch is on the heavy end of things compared to newer machines, but that's only by design on this earlier variant of the Corona 4. This typewriter can still be used to write notes and letters every now and then, and this typewriter is reliable at that, however this is not a machine I would recommend writing a novel on. Universal ribbons do just barely fit this typewriter underneath the spool covers. The owner's manual can be found here: http://site.xavier.edu/polt/typewriters/CoronaFour.pdf
If you're looking for a beautiful early classic in nearly mint condition that can still be typed on, then this is an excellent option.
